Online language proficiency service in legal context and in Canada's official languages

KortoJura Inc.
is a federal non-profit organization that was created in the spring of 2017 and was initiated by a pilot project which started in 2013 by the Provincial Court of New Brunswick under the Provincial Court Judges Training Program. This project aimed to demonstrate the feasibility and credibility of an online test platform to measure the proficiency level in legal French.

The language proficiency tests in a legal context and in both official languages can be taken online on our platform, wherever you may be.

KortoJura
offers national language proficiency assessment and certification services, the content of which is based on authentic legal situations or documents. The evaluation criteria are derived from the Canadian Official Language Proficiency Scale – Legal Context© , an original measurement tool created by bilingual language and legal professionals. Using this scale, which differs from the scales used by the public service, the evaluation service determines a candidate’s level of legal English or French (FJ/LE).
